I'M PREGNANT!!!! :o)
Here's the story...exactly as it happened today...
Today was photo day at school.
I got all cute...yeah real cute...got lots of compliments even. Lookin' cute and preggo.
All the kids got their pictures taken...one kid had an accident while waiting in line (yum...two kids in front of him and behind him were standing in a puddle...nice) so the lady who was watching my kids in the hallway who had already had their photos taken had to help the little boy get cleaned up. So I had to stand in the hallway.
All the kids were finally done with the photos and I hadn't had mine taken yet, so I got another lady to watch my class so I could get my picture taken.
I went up the stairs and the photographer was off chatting with someone else...so I mentioned that it was my class that she had just finished, but I hadn't had a chance to get my picture taken.
She looked at me and smiled and said...
"No problem! Its not over until the fa..t.....laa...dyy....sings....??" (As she stares awkwardly at my belly...tripping over her words)
ME:
I'M NOT FAT!!!!! I'M PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!!!!!!
We both had a good laugh...and she was really embarrassed...mumbling something about a poor choice of words. Lol. Thanks lady.
Then I went to my OB appointment (truly disappointing by the way...I didn't realize how crummy their equipment is...no wonder they can't tell you the gender until 18w...I could barely tell I was lookin' at a baby!!) and found out I'd gained 4lbs in the past month....meaning my grand total weight gain for this pregnancy so far is....
11lbs.
Nice one. 14 weeks...11lbs...yikes.
What can I say...I'm tryin' to grow 'em big!!
I'm sure the cheeseburger a day from various fast food places for the past week haven't helped.
BUT I NEEDED THEM.
Really.
Okay okay...I'll try to eat more fruit. But Katie...you know that book you were reading and recommended (When you're expecting twins, triplets or quads)....they want us to eat fast food for breakfast EVERY MORNING...my stomach can't handle that...so I eat it later in the day....and I still haven't gained as much weight as they want me to by this point. So I think I'm doin' just fine.
I'll just keep tellin' myself that.
*wink*
Last little disclaimer...I just eat the wh.op.per ju.nior...no fries...no soda...so it can't be THAT bad right?
Oh...and did I mention that at the specialist's office the Dr. said I was at the "ideal weight" and he wants me to gain 50lbs total for this pregnancy?
So I'm doin' just fine right? :o)
Oh...and that stinkin' H1N1 vaccine...what to do...what to do??????? It freaks me out that this thing has not been tested....but am I gonna die if I get the flu and I'm pregnant? So should I risk dying...and therefore not being able to carry the babies (obviously)....or should I risk my health and my developing babies' health by getting a shot that people truly know nothing about. Is there mercury in it? Are there adjuvents (or whatever they are....) in there that could be bad? Part of the problem is I just don't understand half this stuff and what it is. *sigh*
I asked my OB today and she said "I don't know what to tell you. Its up to you."
Thanks.
I guess I have some praying to do...if you all have any insight...let me know. I've got an appointment to get it next Friday...but I'm REALLY on the fence about it.
On a side note, I have a bunch of awards over at Katie's blog that I WILL be getting to soon...maybe this weekend...I do appreciate them...and I do need to accept them (before you delete my name LOL).
TGIF tomorrow. :o) :o)

LMAO! Those evil school photographers! I'm completely jealous that you're eating the hamburgers every day! I want one!
Hilarious!
And 11 pounds in 14 weeks is GREAT! I am aiming for 24 in 24, so I think you're doing everything right!
grrrr-i just wrote out a long reply...and it went bye bye.
Long story short- I am with you on the H1N1. I am not going to get it, but only after lots of thought and prayer have my husband and I come to that decision. I know that you will be able to do the same. I will try and find some info for you though.
I am glad you are doing good- I think your weight is good (although, WTF do I know about pregnancy weight?!? LOL) If that was me I would have broke out in song and dance. :) Tee hee.
did you get my post that I am over at wordpress now? www.mybumpyjourney.wordpress.com from my BabyMakingJourney at blogger. I hope you come on over with me. :) (HUGS)
Heeheehee- I am honored that you commented about me twice in your post today. Just remember that weight gain by 20 weeks is the most important factor to keep pre-term labor at bay. :) I tend to get McD's as an after school snack on my way home from school a few days a week... and I've resorted to going to an out of the way McD's because one of my former student's sisters works at the other one and it is embarrassing how much I stop! I was up 9 lbs from 6 weeks to 12 weeks, so don't feel TOO bad.
BTW- I'm getting the shot as are my two PG kindergarten co-teachers. There's just too much of it going around our school.
I'm sure each OB is saying something different on the H1N1 vaccine - mine told me to definitely get it. For what it's worth...
I would say DON'T get the vaccine... I personally don't trust it at all, and H1N1 is no more serious or deadly than the "regular" flu. So just take precautions... wash your hands regularly, get your vitamin D, and gargle with a salt and warm water mixture twice a day.
11 pounds?! Those babie are HUGE! I went to the OB 7 days ago & have only gained 3! I go to see the babies & get another 4D u/s next Monday - 16wks...I can't wait. Next time, make sure you tell them you want a 4D!! :) Congrats on learning you're having a boy & girl. We are waiting til the next appt. to officially know & then, I'll finish up our registry in time for Christmas :) yay! Did you start yours yet? The Moms of Multiples club has great deals. I got 2 boppys/4 covers for $10 & if it's 2 girls I can get 2 JJ Cole covers (pink) for $15. I'd double check the fee they told you. It should only be $25/year. :)
p.s. I didn't get the vaccine. My OB wasn't persistent about it & was totally fine w/ my choice.
ROTFL!!!!!!! Oh my goodness! I still get that and I am not even pregnant - just left over baby fat.
