First OB appointment!

Here are my little nuggets!! They are doin' just fine! I was quite surprised that they did the sono...I was expecting to just hear the heartbeats...I was so excited!! And my lil sis was in town for the appointment so it was fun for her to see as well!

Now I'm nursing a cold...and its AWFUL...I've never not had medicine and this whole not being able to breathe out of your nose thing day and night is totally STINKING. I'm going to lay down!!

JACKPOT!!!!!!!

We went to that Moms of Multiples yard sale today...can we say JACKPOT???!! I probably bought way too much...but I got it all for about $150....so what can I say??? I had to go for it!!! I also got a maternity black pea coat that I didn't take a picture of. Here's the goods!

Pac-N-Play!

Swing/Cradle and a bathtub plastic thingy...I really don't know what all this stuff is called!! :o)

Matching twinners little mini swings...easy to transport...maybe will be useful when mommy is trying to put her makeup on and decide what to wear??

Okay this was a freebie...from a gal I babysit for...she also gave me a breast pump! My children will not be lacking seating!!!!! ;o)

A cute Eric Ca.rle onesie...the hungry little caterpillar. I had no idea they made things like this!! I need to find its twin so the kiddos can rock it when I visit work!!

Oh...and I also got a belly band supporter "thingy" (I'm using that word a lot here...) just in case my belly is just WAY too big...I dunno...better to be prepared I guess. And we're going into the winter months which means NO YARD SALES....I hate that!! Had way too much fun today...after I got over the morning sickness of course...the past two mornings have been horrendous. Not sure what to do about that...but vomiting never felt so good. Ew. At least I feel better afterwards!

First OB appointment on Tuesday....YYAYAYAYYAYAY!!!!!!!!! Belly is still growing...under the big bloat bump...that's a little encouraging that hopefully they're doin' ok in there...as long as they're getting bigger I'm happy!!

Belly bump

Still looking a little TOO preggo...for only 8weeks. But I have noticed a change...look slightly under the big bump and there is a smaller bump. I think that's my acutal baby bump. LOL. Its definitely gotten bigger in that area...if you run your hands across it you can feel it...but its hard to capture on camera. :o)

Its definitely where my low rise jeans hit...and I'm feelin' it when I sit down and stuff. Lovin' the belly band most days!!

Yesterday hubby and I went yard saleing. We found a nice rich neighborhood (they have the BEST stuff!!) where a lady was selling her Gr.aco baby stuff...all the same pattern....swing, pac-n-play, car seat, stroller, high chair....for $85. All this stuff looked pretty much new...we were really torn. But I figured I'd probably want mine to match and with twins, the same patterns don't always come in the double strollers. So we passed. But that certainly was a good deal!

I've been reading the baby bar.gains book and it says don't buy used car seats. I can see why this could be bad...you don't know if they've been in an accident!!! They also say that if they're more than five years old the parts could break. But there is a HUGE yard sale coming up next week where its only parents of multiples who are bringing their stuff (I guess they do this twice a year) and you can get EVERYTHING for your kids for CHEAP...and they match and all that good stuff.

Because I'm figuring...even if a family member wanted to buy a car seat or a high chair or a crib...I NEED TWO!! And that stuff is expensive...and I wouldn't expect them to buy more than one!!! So if I could buy them at this yard sale I'd be set!

I guess they even have all the clothes put together in sets for twins....boy/boy, boy/girl and girl/girl.....I wish I knew what I was having!!!! That is way too fun!!! I'm so going to this sale EVERY year!! I guess one day I may even be able to be in it! :o)

So should I try to get a year old or two year old car seat/double stroller combo? (that I will research before I go to make sure what brands are recalled...and which are the best) Or should I just get the double stroller and buy one of those stroller skeleton things where you clip on your car seats (and get new car seats...and not freak out when the double stroller/car seat pattern don't match)? :o)

I figure its SOOOO early to be buying stuff....and yet...if these babies will probably arrive at the end of march (STAY IN TIL APRIL LITTLE ONES!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!) and maybe I'm on bedrest and can't get ready for them...I'd rather save some money and get ready now! Plus baby stuff is always in demand so I figure if I don't need something I could always sell it! Or pass it over to a grandma for when they babysit!! And they won't have this sale again until the babies are here!

My realtor actually told me about this sale (she live across the street from DH's parents so we bumped into her yesterday) because her sister just had IVF twins last year. She said that she was on bed rest for about a month (UGH) and said that she was pretty early...8 weeks I think??? I dunno.

But she mentioned trying to get all the protein in and said her sister was drinking Mus.cle Milk. Now that stuff sounds nasty...and I know its nasty cause DH drinks it sometimes when he's in a "bulking up" mood and he tells me its nasty. ;o) But I was thinking about giving it a shot. DH said the bars aren't as bad...but any protein bars are sooo gross to me. If it helps my little ones though....I just might do it. Don't want to make myself barf though. I've avoided that so far (knock on wood!).

**Update*** On the musc.le Milk....I've heard that people who drink it and dont' exercise can GAIN A LOT OF WEIGHT...I think I may try to find something protein rich for girls...don't want to blow up like a balloon!!!

Graduated!!!!

Thank you Lord!!!!!!!

I seriously find myself staring into the sky while I'm driving...feeling so overwhelmed with joy...and just sit there and thank God for my little miracles. This is all STILL so surreal.

My appointment went well today...Baby A's heartrate is 162 and Baby B's heartrate is 148! Go babies go!!!

This is seriously the weirdest feeling ever...these little beings are inside of me...and apparently thriving...and all I have to do is eat when my tummy is rumbly??!!!!! God...you are doing a WONDERFUL job of knitting together my little ones...because I sure know I couldn't do this on my own...what a miracle!!!

I was sitting in that cold room...waiting for the doc...sheet around my waist (okay not a sheet...thin paper thingy) and I got a text message. I checked my phone and it was one of my teammates. I had an IEP meeting and "apparently" I didn't tell anyone I was leaving...so one of my coworkers had to cover for me and she was NOT happy about it.

Okay, I totally dropped the ball on the meeting. But I guess we can blame it on pregnancy brain????? But how many times do we have to cover for eachother....REALLY NOW. Be nice. *sigh*

So now I'm not being talked to. That's always fun. I love how childish they are. :o) I even came back and apologized profusely...and told her I'm buying her coffee on Thursday (my other long break day)...but still not happy. OH WELL. I'M PREGGO AND WILL BE GONE BEFORE THE YEAR IS OVER ANYWAYS!!! NO SCHOOL DRAMA PLEASE!! :o)

I need to pray for that girl...and my attitude towards her.

Anyhoo...the little ones are doing fine and mommy is starving as ever. Sept. 22 is my next appt. with the regular OB!!! YAYAYAYAY!!!

Fun times in Ohio!

The shower went really well. I was pleasantly surprised...and I think I got just as much attention as my friend because she already told everyone I'm expecting twins!



The car ride was NOT fun...on top of being queasy every day from morning until early evening...I think I may have gotten a little car sick. I felt horrible and could barely eat anything. BTW we were in Atwater, Ohio.



Have you girls seen this website? http://www.ehd.org/movies.php?mov_id=248 It is absolutely amazing...I don't know how they got in there to see these little ones...but its pretty neat to see what "your" baby looks like throughout the pregnancy!

How Far Along? 7 weeks

Total Weight Gained/Loss? Haven't stepped on a scale...too nervous!

Maternity Clothes: rockin' the belly band every once in a while for the bloat!

Sleep: Waking up a lot in the middle of the night. Mostly to use the bathroom...then I can't get back to sleep for a little bit!

Best Moment of the Week: Being able to get a sneak peek of my little ones!!!

Movement- Not yet!

Food Craving- Cottage cheese. Always sounds good, no matter how sick I feel!

Food aversions- EGGS. Maybe I had too many earlier in my pregnancy...trying to get all that good protein in! Chi.k-fil-a...guess I had too much of that too!! :o)

Morning sickness?- Queasy ALL morning til early evening. Not fun. No vomiting...yet.

Gender- Not sure!!

Labor Signs- yikes...lets not go there!

Belly Button- innie...no real growth yet...just bloat I think.

What I miss- Sex drive (You girls weren't kiddin')!!! I haven't gotten the thumbs up from my RE yet...but there is no desire...poor DH. Don't worry...he's still taken care of!

What I'm looking forward to- seeing the kiddos again TOMORROW!!!

Milestones- hearing the heartbeats last Wednesday...what a miracle!!!

First "Fertile" Baby Shower

Tomorrow I head to Ohio for my friend's baby shower. It will be my first shower as a fertile myrtle...as opposed to the bitter, jealous, crying-herself-to-sleep infertile myrtle.

I think I am going to enjoy it. I think.

Like we say...infertility does take its toll on us....and does leave scars. I mean...she is so close to holding her little one...and though I am a step closer...I have a ways to go.

How am I still getting a little jealous of her??????????

I think its mainly because she's yet another person who is experiencing the things I want to experience BEFORE ME. She's on team pink. She BUYS baby clothes...CUTE girly clothes. I can only stare at the yellow ones. YAY.

Okay okay....I'm not really this depressed about it...this post is coming across wrong...

Just letting the thoughts roll from my brain and onto the screen....so I guess they're in there somewhere....but predominantly I have happy thoughts I promise!!!!!!!!! :o)

Yesterday this same preggo friend gave me a gift. Two little onesies....they are the Dr. Seu.ss Thin.g 1 and Thi.ng 2!!! Totally adorable. So I do have cute stuff too. :o) And my mom got me some maternity shirts and some $$$ to buy a new bra!! (Thanks mom!!!)

I do feel a little spoiled. :o)

Sneak Peek!!!

Today I went with my friend for her 3D/4D ultrasound...I can't remember what its called. But she went to this cute little boutique where you have to pay to go....she's six months now so we saw her baby....IT WAS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!! She's the cutest little girl...and its so amazing to watch her suck her fingers and stick out her tongue!

My friend told the sonographer that I was expecting twins and she said "Oh....we'll definitely get you in for a sneak peek when I'm done...just don't tell the lady at the front desk!!!"

LOL.

Of course the 3D version didn't work....but the regular sono did and their little hearts were beating away...and I actually got to hear them beating!!! I was totally tearing up!! When she first focused in on Baby A my friend and I both said that he/she looked like a little gummy bear!! You could definitely tell where the head was!

On Thursday Baby A's heartrate was 110 and Baby B's heartrate was 100. Today Baby A was 117 and Baby B was 115! Yay!! Keep on increasing little ones!!
